Our Story
About From Boys to Gentlemen — our story and mission
Relationships change lives.
For more than 20 years, From Boys to Gentlemen has served youth and families throughout the Abilene community.
Our work has reached recreation centers, detention centers, schools, churches, nonprofits, corporations, and neighborhoods.
We have mentored young people, supported parents, organized community cleanups, developed work ethic, provided career exposure, and connected students with adults who believe in their potential.
The work has always been built around one idea: relationships change lives.
That belief has grown into the Bridge the Gap program. We are not simply building another program. We are building a community where every student is surrounded by people who believe in them.

One Mission
To bridge the gap between students, educators, parents, and the community.
By building relationships that inspire growth, strengthen families, and develop future leaders. Everything we do points back to this mission.
Every conversation. Every partnership. Every investment. Every student.
One Goal
Stronger connections. Stronger future.
One Community
Working together. Moving forward.
One Impact
Changing lives today. Building leaders tomorrow.
One Community
Bridge the Gap belongs to all of us. Our community includes:
- Students
- Families
- Educators
- Businesses
- Community Organizations
- Volunteers
- Civic Leaders
- Foundations
- Churches
Each partner brings unique gifts. Together, we create opportunities that no one organization could accomplish alone.
